ShadowDragon is proud to be a co-sponsor of the Mission III Advanced iCTF Contest at Defcon 2018. iCTF has crafted a compelling and challenging scenario! Participating is a great way to hone your forensics skills to better track and identify malicious actors-and win prizes!

This years’ iCTF is one of the most real world capture the flag events you will experience. I look forward to awarding the winners the respect they deserve and a few prizes. If you are engaged in advanced incident response, investigating corporate espionage or identifying complex insider threats–this is for you! Follow the white rabbit, the truth will set you free!

How it Works

Individuals or teams of three register at the iCTF Booth. Use your laptop to trace the information spread across the Internet. Hunt for digital artifacts, analyze evidence, meet an arms dealer and uncover a vast conspiracy.

How to Win

You win by answering questions and submitting flags to the scoring engine. Capture all of the flags and your team wins cash or other cool prizes, including some donated by ShadowDragon!

First Place: $10,000

Second Place: $3,000

Third Place: $2,000

Other Winners: iCTF Stickers, iCTF T-Shirt, iCTF Badge (with Circuit Playground), iCTF Challenge Coin

Register: Sign up to enter at the iCTF Booth at Defcon on August 9th and 10th, 10 am – 4:30 pm

When: Challenge is on August 11, 10:30 am–4:30 pm

Daniel Clemens is the founder and CEO of both ShadowDragon and Packet Ninjas, a niche cyber security consulting and services company.
